This week 9/21-9/24

Reading: This week we continuing our study of fables by reading "The Lion and the Mouse." We will practice recounting it as well as identify the character traits that each character exhibits. We will be working on recounting/summarizing the chapters we read in reading groups as well. We will be reflecting on our own character and identifying 20 character traits that describe each one of us. We will choose 10 of those character traits to support with evidence. We will also be taking a STAR Reading test.

Writing: This week are taking a break from writing to catch up on our reading (because I was sick on Monday). We will continue with persuasive writing again next week.

Science/Social Studies: This week we finishing our "Quilt Squares" from last week. We are finishing discussing local government and we are starting on citizenship. We will be creating collages on the three types of matter (brought from home from the home challenge #1) and watching a video on matter.


Grammar: We will be doing a verb quiz.
